The Sustainable Engineering Research Center at Kao Yuan University, integrating research resources with technology, is served as an intermediary concourse between industrial circle (including the government) and schools, and is targeted on win-win benefits.

one professional Soil and Water Engineer(above mentioned all holding Ph.D), 4 engineers and 2 assistants.

Introduction

Introduction

Kao Yuan University has organized the Sustainable Engineering Research Center, based on the core value of sustainable environment and energy conservation, by means of integrating the engineering of transportation, resource, architecture, civil and information with available research teams and facilities relevant to sustainable development technology. We, on the one hand, integrate research teams full of capability, potential, and production and are able to cooperate with any industrial circle. On the other hand, we establish an intermediary concourse for industrial circle and the academia under the structure of partnerships.

Main focus

The theme of our technical and developmental project is the "Environment Management and Planning," and so far the project has provided a series of manuals on the entire environmental management and planning on rivers and seacoasts. These series of environmental management manual include the four of the followings:
　1. Manual of management and planning on drainage basin
　2. Manual of environmental management and planning on rivers
　3. Manual of environmental management and dredging on regional drainage
　4. Manual of environmental management and planning on seacoasts
In addition, the other research goal is Non-destructive monitoring and safety evaluation on bridge or seawall. This is a technical development plan about river, bridge, maintenance, safety and risk management

Future Prospect

Requested by industrial circle, we aim to shorten the application time required for the academia to develop new techniques through working together and combining resources and work hard to promote the industrial competitive ability.
